killdeer
I saw a baby killdeer running around in the fairway at work the other day. I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the mother but these two top pictures are ones I found online. I took the last picture on my phone. The mother will use whats called a "broken wing" tactic to lure you away from her babies or the nest.

Wow, that must have been cool to see! Too bad you didn't get other pictures of the mama. I would have liked to see that.
